Media Pitch 1

To: henry.wentworth@thriftynickel.com
From: peter.burdych@gmail.com
Subject: New Association will give you more than a nickel’s worth

Dear Henry D. Wentworth Jr.,
Managing Editor of the Thrifty Nickel

I am writing to you because you are the managing editor of Cache Valleys’ monthly financial magazine. I would like you to put a series of articles in the Thrifty Nickel for the Cache Valley Area Investors Association. I would like the first article to outline the goals and objectives of the association. The goals of the association are:

Creating an opportunity for financial matters to be discussed openly in a group setting.
To educate individuals about creating a passive income.
The opportunity to learn how to grow wealth free of charge.

The founder of the association is Preston Parker a local resident. He holds no certification or degrees in finance for the wealth of knowledge he brings. He teaches mostly from personal experiences or finds professionals that are willing to volunteer to share with the group. The group meets on every other Thursday night at the chamber of commerce. I see a great chance for a partnership here.

I would like to have a summary of what was covered at the months meetings put in your publication. I would be willing to coordinate interviews with any guest lecturer or member of the group you would like as well. I know that if we can come together on this that the wealth we create here can stay here for generations to come.

Please feel free to contact me,

Press Release 4 (Draft)

For Release:

Feb. 26, 2008

My Job is better than your job! Is that really true?

LOGAN, UTAH— College students always look for that job that will let them have the balance they need to survive. I wanted to know what options were out there for students like me. I started by asking my employer the following questions:
· What is it that you offer as an employer that attracts students to work here?
· What are your strengths in being able to offer to students?
· What are the weaknesses you see as a company in staying competitive with other employers in Cache Valley?
· What improvements do you see will be made in the future that will help you gain more student employees?

Some of these employers offer competitive wages, health benefits, tuition reimbursement, and flexible schedules. *The answers to the questions above answered by company representatives in a later post.

Press Release #2 (Final)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Feb. 8, 2008

FITNESS GURU TO JOIN BURGER PLANET TO CREATE HEALTH ACROSS THE NATION.

GARY, IN –Jayne Petersen, 42, is a fitness guru to the stars. She is president and CEO of Looking Glass, Inc., a multi-million dollar fitness and health enterprise located in Burbank, Ca. Petersen, a native of Glendale, Wisconsin.

Opal Whitcomb, one of the most popular figures in the history of television, hired her in a neverending quest to lose weight. Petersen accomplished what no other fitness gurus had done, help Whitcomb lose 75 pounds and keep it off. She has appeared on Whitcomb's show more than a dozen times, preaching a message of moderation along with 20 minutes of walking per day. Women on her diet are allowed to eat whatever they want as long as that choice is only one of their meal items per day.

Now Burger Planet is teaming up with Jane to bring a new health menu to the quick service industry. "In the past year, we added white meat chicken breasts to our menu. We offer consumers the option to buy the chicken breast wrapped in lettuce in case they are on a low-carb diet. They also can ask us to hold the mayo for a calorie reduction of 500 calories. None of our other competitors offers a similar entrĂ©e” says Gerard DuBois, Burger Planet's top chef. He continued ""In the past year, we also added packets of apple slices to our menu. Indeed, consumers can purchase packets of five different types of fruit: apples, grapes, peaches, pineapple, or bananas. None of our other competitors offers fruit. And, finally, we added a new line of gourmet salads." I think that Burger Planet is taking big steps to provide healthy alternatives. These alternatives will hit the spot with the women I have and will help across the nation.

James E. Muellenbach III, 45, is a rising star in the corporate world. His grandfather James E. Muellenbach I founded Burger Planet in a tiny shed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew it into a corporation with 8,921 franchises Worldwide and 52 billion customers served and counting.

Burger Planet intends to resuscitate Corny's image by pairing him with fitness guru Jayne Petersen in advertisements and in health-conscious appearances at restaurants and shopping malls across the nation.

All you traditional eaters don’t worry we still have the regular menu and a full line of gourmet sodas.
